Premier Received A Courtesy Call From SFC
KUCHING, 10 JULY 2023 – Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Zohari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) and The Reef Ball Foundation of USA at his office Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya today.
The visit which led by Zolkipli Mohamad Aton, CEO of SFC, aimed to recognize the Sarawak Reef Ball Project, an initiative driven by the Sarawak Government, for its outstanding achievement as the longest artificialreef project in the world.
During the courtesy call, Todd Ryan Barber, Chairman of The Reef Ball Foundation of USA (third from left) presented a special certificate to YBhg. Datu Sr. Zaidi Bin Haji Mahdi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources & Urban Development and witnessed by The Right Honourable Premier, YB Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh, the Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment and CEO of SFC.
This esteemed recognition serves to honor the Sarawak Reef Ball Project, which stands as a testament to the government's visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to sustainable practices and the protection of Sarawak's marine biodiversity.
Also present were Abang Arabi Abang Aimran, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer I of SFC; James Bali, Head of Fauna Research & Conservation (Marine) Section of SFC; Wilson Mapus, CEO of Pembinaan Tukun Bebola (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd; Todd Ryan Barber, Chairman of The Reef Ball Foundation of USA and Larry D. Beggs, President, Reef Innovations Inc.
